This is the second time that a housemate, against all odds, will be declared the winner of Big Brother Naija.

For the second time in the show’s history, the finale featured a Top 6 instead of a Top 5.

Bryann was the first runner-up with 26.74 percent of the vote.

Bella came in third place after getting 15.78 percent of the votes.

Others in the Top 6 were Adekunle, who gathered 12.36 percent of the votes and came in fourth; Chi Chi, who ranked fifth with 2.49 percent; and Daniella finished sixth with 1.89 percent.

Phyna joins Whitemoney, Laycon, Mercy, Miracle, Efe and Katung on Big Brother Naija’s coveted list of winners.

Like the previous winners, Phyna will certainly take advantage of the opportunity that the Big Brother Naija platform offers her for her career.

The seventh edition of the Big Brother Naija franchise will go down in history as the most successful to date, having registered more than one billion votes, more than 40,000 auditions and records of participation in social networks.

It also had viewers on their toes and constantly trying to figure out Big Brother’s next move.

The success of this edition is especially remarkable, considering that fans did not have the usual SMS voting platforms to vote this year.

The grand finale, which was broadcast live on DStv 198 and GOtv 29 at 7pm, featured live performances by Nigerian superstars MI Abaga, Falz and Pheelz.

The highlight of the night was a surprise journaling session with Ebuka and Biggie.

Their session was shortly followed by a performance by MI

Following Daniella and Chi Chi’s eviction, Falz thrilled the audience with his hit songs: Bop Daddy and Highway.

Pheelz closed the night of performances with his award-winning songs: Finesse and Electricity.
