Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi

Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi will join forces for next year’s edition. The next edition of Big Brother in Africa will be a new spin edition that will air on DStv in Africa at the beginning of 2023 and will feature an “all-stars” competition between Big Brother Naija and Big Brother Mzansi, with the winners of the past seasons of both shows from South Africa and Nigeria.

After five seasons of Big Brother Mzansi, the first two of which were dubbed Big Brother SA, and seven seasons of Big Brother Naija in Nigeria, MultiChoice and M-Net are looking to create a show called Big Brother Face-Off that will unite the previous competitors of the versions of both countries.

Multichoice CEO John Ugbe made it public at MCShowcase2022 who announced the new season of Big Brother coming next year.

Between 2003 and 2014, M-Net produced nine seasons of Big Brother Africa for DStv subscribers in addition to the Nigerian and South African versions.

During that time, there were ten other winners, though it’s unclear whether those ten people are also potentially considered for a return invitation for the Big Brother Face-Off.
